Happy 3rd Anniversary.

I have the greatest husband on earth! He came home early yesterday from his business and totally surprised me with a night away as early celebration of our anniversary considering we probably won't be able to go anywhere overnight then. Kyle met me at my Dr's appointment, which by the way went well. He and my Dr got to catch up on fishing and hunting stories. Oh, and yes the baby is head down and ready to go whenever. I always find it funny that when Kyle comes with me to appointments he and the Dr spend more time chatting then I and my Dr. After that we went to Grammie and Gramps where Kyle dropped off stuff for Dean to spend the night. His first overnight all by himself! Kyle had planned this all out before he even left on his trip much to my surprise. We got a suite at a local hotel, which for me was perfect. Lately I've been dreaming about sleeping in a bed I don't have to make, eating food I don't have to cook, and soaking in a jetted tub. Yes, how simple the dreams of the stay at home mom and housewife! :) We had an incredible relaxing time and though we didn't stay up late or "paint the town red" we still had a lot of fun. Of course the one morning of the last 15 months of my life that I could sleep in I was wide awake at 7 am. Wouldn't you know? Still it was nice to not have to get up and do anything. After breakfast and a movie (Evan Almighty), I did get a short nap in. Glorious. Dean was having such a good time with Gramps and Grammie that he stayed with them and went to a softball game in the afternoon. Kyle and I took advantage of the opportunity, got a late lunch, and went to the theaters to see a movie. Unfortunately there isn't much good out right now. Kyle ended up seeing a low budget sci-fi movie and I went and saw a teeny-bopper movie that grossly glamorized college and "greek life". All in all a great get away. I so appreciate Kyle's thoughtfulness in planning all this for me. The break from being Mom was just enough to make me miss my boy and be grateful for the little blessing he is. Now I have this week to finish preparing for little Abi and the introduction of some estrogen into our family dynamics. I think I'm now ready!
